Lexidiem: Word of the Day

This is the brand new video from Regina Spektor's Begin To Hope album, and was just released. As much as I liked the version that she released about nine months ago, this is how she made "Better" even better than before. It made it's debut on October 1st on VH1, and was directed by Marc Web, who directed her splendid "Fidelity" video. It was shot to the "Better Recut" version of her song.

Anyone who has visited my pages here before knows just how I feel about her incredible voice and her music (see #1 on My Top 10 Bands). Regina relys on an amazing mixture of styles and techniques. She possesses a unique vocal style and a broad vocal range and uses the full extent of it. It's said that she has created over 700 songs, yet none of these was about herself, but are based on scenarios and characters drawn from her own imagination. If asked, I would say that all of her albums are great, but her 2006 release of Begin to Hope was truly superb.

And this new "Better Recut" is just the best.
